Can I take my baby eight weeks in Cancun, Mexico?

Is it safe to take one week old baby eight to Cancun Mexico for a week? My family rented a condo for one year each for a week, and my husband and I would really like to go, but we wonder whether it would not too early to Travel with a baby. We do not intend to go until next March. Any help is appreciated. What Is shots and vaccinations? Know everything?
