Costa Rica Vacation – Do I need vaccinations or medications?

I'm going to Costa Rica on vacation (more precisely the areas Arenal and Manuel Antonio). Do I need to take any medications / shots before I continue the journey? Thank you!

No, you do not need special vaccinations or drugs. Make sure your vaccinations are current, because their protection is needed where you live and around the world. The only precaution you must take is repellent for dengue fever (must be at least 23% DEET). If you have diarrhea or something, you can go to the pharmacy where you can get almost anything without prescription.
